press Button CONTROLLERS then select LOCAL CONTROL ON

press the PRESET button and use DATA wheel to scroll thru presets

u can also use track +/- to select diff tracks

Press PATTERN use data wheel to select an empty pattern
u can name change lengths in PATTERN menu

U should save patterns as u go along ie

press SAVE use CURSOR arrows to step down menu
hit the FLASHING ENTER when happy

use the PATTERN menu which has loads of utility tools!
remember to SAVE SAVE SAVE!

patterns can be stitched together in song mode!

If u are just starting out it would also be wise to save
MULTI SETUPS ie

GLOBAL save setup etc

and stick to the same sounds on each pattern, grouping
patterns in a logical sequence

Hope this Helps

ps The command station's logic is actually rather good
many functions operate with combinations of buttons, thus
making for a very speedy easy to use sequencer!.
