Re: [xl7] Re: Troubles loading Multi's from SX?

2003-07-01 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Sorry to hear you are still having the problem. I assume Andre's
suggestion to check sysex device ID didn't help.

>>>I know nothing of sysex, no idea where to check this even. <<<

I'm reconfiguring my midi computer, so I can't work on the problem just
now. Perhaps this afternoon or tonight. Can you either upload or e-mail
me a sample multi.mid file?

>>>I'll bring them with me tomorrow. <<

Is it possible that the multisetups only go into a current buffer and not
a RAM location? If so, perhaps
they need to be loaded one at a time and then saved.

>>>That's what I'm leaning towards thinking too, I was too tired last
night to try this though. Definitely doesn't save the Multi Names if this
is the case though, and that could be a problem too. I had a ton of
multi's saved for various softsynths and Reason instruments, it would be a
real pain to try and figure out which was which now. :( <<

Also, take a look at the sysex header. What type of dump is it? (55h 12h?
 55h 1Ch? other?)

>>>That looks like this to me: jhfjklsghlghsbgfafajksghf :) <<<

Thanks for the help,
rEalm
