Another option could be to utilize the USB port to a zip drive. Then you could dump or access samples similiar to AKAI units. It would be a failry cheap

Correct Erik. Unless he were to get some expansion ROM s for his MP, the only presets and Grooves he could do would be for his MP-7 ROM. ... own samples ...

Most likely they re not compatible. Each Sound Rom has it s own samples if you will, from which the Presets are created. So if you were to create your own
