No, both of them controls everything. command station 1: XL7: I sent MIDI notes and tweaks to a Waldorf Micro Q module. I sent MIDI notes to a roland V synth.

I would agree that Daisy chaining midi devices is not the best option. A thru-box or a midi router is better. (But it still won t let you overdub 32 channels
