UPGRADING TO A PX-7

UPGRADING TO A PX-7

2003-08-23 by jibarosoul@aol.com

I AM UPGRADING A MP-7 TO A PX-7 BUT B4 I TRADE IT IN I NEED TO BACK-UP ALL MY
PATTERNS AND PRESETS TO A MAC. I HAVE DONE THE PATTERNS SUCCESSFULLY BUT HAVE
NEVER DONE PRESETS. I UNDERSTAND I CAN DO THIS WITH A SOFTWARE SEQUENCER,
WILL PRO-TOOLS SEQ WORK? IF SO, HOW IS IT DONE? PLEASE HELP AS I WOULD LIKE THIS
DONE TODAY, THANKS.

Simply open the software sequencer of your choice, press record, then
in the 2nd to last screen in the MIDI menu, dial the preset one step
back and it will say "bank 0 user presets". Press enter. When it's
done, dial another click back and do the same for bank 1. Continue for
bank 2 and 3.

Save the sequence on your Mac, and simply play it back to your PX-7
when you get it. Note that of course, you'll have to get an MP-7 ROM
for your PX-7, otherwise you won't get any sound from those presets...
