given a choice for a rom -- should i go for the protean drum or the vintage

Totally different ROMs, so it depends on what you're looking for.  Where 
have I heard that before....

I think the Drum ROM is great for acoustic kits, by far the best sounding 
of any other Emu ROM.  If you need electronic sounding drums, then there's 
not a whole lot different from the other ROM, but still some improvement. 
For the money, I personally think the DRUM ROM is a must have if you use a 
lot of drums in your tracks.

OK, I'm old now. I tried throughout my 20s to find a way to stop it, 
but apparently it just happens...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
