Mo Phatt ROM from mp-7 for trade

Mo Phatt ROM from mp-7 for trade

2004-05-11 by madness

Anybody out there interested, I am looking to trade the stock rom
from my mp-7 for maybe a proteus pop rom, protean drum rom, or maybe
another. It just doesn't really suit my needs. Make me an offer.
Incidentily, can I replace it with any other rom without losing the
functionality of the MP-7, like the ability to save patterns, songs,
and multisteps? Is that stuff stored seperatly? Also, do ROMS add
user banks as well? Thanks...

Hi,

I swapped out my MoPhatt ROM for the Drums ROM... it's so much better!!!
Only problem is that the metronome on the Drums ROM is crap compared to the
mophatt metronome - also it's 'upside down' (low click on first beat of bar,
high click on other beats). The mophatt metronome was the right way up!

Regards,

Stu

Yeah, I think all the ROMs I have are like that too, makes the metronome
unusable for me in most cases. No matter how hard I try and get used to
it, I end up playing everything 1/4 measure off :)

>>>The Pattern and Global data is completely seperate from the ROM, so
yes, you will still retain that stuff. Your patterns won't sound the same
with a new rom obviously, but that's it.<<<

Also, do ROMS add user banks as well?

>>>No. The User Bank is part of the machine itself. As for what sounds
are located there, that's up to you. The User banks come preloaded with
the same sounds on the ROM, but you're free to erase those, or load new
sounds there too. Check out the Save menu once you get your new rom if
you want to copy the ROM banks to the user banks, I think there's a option
to copy an entire bank of Presets there. <<<
