Soudn Card question

Soudn Card question

2004-10-12 by revpathomas

I am about to put my PC to work with my DPS12i, E-MU Command
Station, and My Roland XP Workstation. What sound cards are you
guys using? Sound Blaster Ausigy Platinum? Turtle Beach? The new
EMU sound cards?

Thanks,
Rev P

a good suggestion indeed. you also might want to check out the m-audio
audiophile 24/96 - I have used this for years, great driver support
and now much much cheaper than when I purchased it. stay the hell away
from amything with the name soundblaster on it - pure crap.
have fun!

I use MESA with my Akai. I will soon have Finale! and maybe Protools or
Sonar. Also, I use a program that helps to edit sounds on my XP.

thats it exactly - except I just today got my copy of Sonar 4 - this
has to be one of the most common setups, audiophile/sonar. Works great
for me a from what I can gather on the user group, tons and tons of
other people.

Thanks for the report. I don't have funds to upgrade to Sonar 4. I
may wait until next year's upgrade, unless there is something
compelling about Sonar 4.

For me, the enhanced audio stuff is pretty compelling - I haven't
delved that deep yet, but I like what I see.
