MOTU Unisyn and the XL-7

2004-10-26 by lionelcassin

Is there anyone out there who has used MOTU's Unisyn 2.0 with the XL-
7? I am attempting to use Unisyn's XL-7 profile and the Generic
Proteus 2000 profile and encountering some difficulties.

Thanks
Lionel Cassin

The Proteus 2000 does not have the same architecture as the Command
Stations or P2500, thus it won't work.

So I would have thought too, but the Unisyn documentation explicitly
directs you to use the Proteus 2000 Generic profile when dealing
with a modified (i.e., add'l ROMs) XL-7. It actually works pretty
well, but not entirely. Sorta like almost being a brain surgeon.
I've posted another message to this forum that details the problems.
It is a copy of a message that I posted to the MAC-MOTU Yahoo group
which is frequented by Unisyn's developer.

Thanks!
