Some questions regarding computer-based daw

Hi - I hope everyone (stateside) had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I recently picked up a Dell Precision 220 w/dual PIII 933Mhz processors and am wondering if it would be worth converting to a d.a.w. (preferably using Win2k Pro) Does anyone have any experience using a dual processor based system in this manner? Also, I've been eyeing a Terratec phase 880 rack interface system...any thoughts?
