2 more newbie questions.

2 more newbie questions.

2004-12-09 by José Sáez

1) heat: does your XL7 build heat ? mine gets a little hot on top right, near the power supply. Is that usual ?

2) pattern extend: mine does nothing ! I select pattern extend to the desired number of measures, choose the tracks but nothing changes. Am i doing something wrong ? I changed OS a couple of weeks ago, so that is not the problem. Need help here.

>>>Yeah, it's normal. I used to sit with mine in my lap, and the power
supply would definitely heat things up! <<

Thanks rEalm. Yes, i selected the track... Correct me if i am wrong: pattern extend should work like "copy measure 1 and paste it X times" ? Because that what's i'm doing in the end.

Pattern extend takes the current length and loops that duration to
achieve the desired length. If your pattern length is 8 bars and you
extend to 8 bars, it will do nothing, because it's already... wait for
it... 8 bars.

Simply set the pattern length to the existing length before extending.
