Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Have been using XL-7 for a couple of years now, for live and studio 
work. It's been largely without any problems apart from one time when 
the entire memory wiped out for some mysterious reason (I think at the 
time the memory was 47% full). 

I switched it on for the first time yesterday after not using it for a 
year, due to being out of the country, and it was running fine. Today 
however I can't get it to switch on - I've tried the kettle lead with 
other equipment and it works fine, so I figure it must be either the 
dashboard power switch not connecting properly, or else the kettle 
lead connector is not connecting properly.

If anybody has fixed this problem I'd be very grateful for any advice, 
on whether it's possible to fix yourself or if you had to send it 
away. There are many hours of work in the tunes on the memory there 
and I have no back ups other than audio cds of some of the tracks....
