Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello,

my computer, an IBM T43p laptop is equipped with only 2 USB ports
therefore I use an USB hub to connect several devices.
My XL-7 is properly installed and works OK on one of the built-in
USB ports on my machine but not with the hub.
The hub is active but so far none of the devices needed the extra power
(and my laptop is connected to the mains). Does the XL-7 need this
extra power ?
Or are there any blocking circumstances which affect the XL-7 operation
via a USB hub ?

Any additional info on the subject will be highly appreciated.
