knobs etc malfunction- hardware or software problem?s

knobs etc malfunction- hardware or software problem?s

2016-02-22 by shad_dart@...

Hi, thanks to those who responded to my post about wtb a manual.

I have discovered that when I set the 16 knob selector to "volume", some knobs control 2 channels, and some none (ie in mix mode). to be exact:

knob 1 controls channel 1 and 7

knob 2 controlls channel 2 and 17

knob 3 controls channel 3 and 14

knob 4 controls nothing

Is this a sign of failure of the knob board itself, or could this be a software glitch.

the unit came with 2.0 -

Any help would be appreciated _ i would be sad to return it because it is so cool

PS a couple pads behave irregularly, and the mod strip is also a little glitchy- I notice that

all these hardware parts are for sale, I just want to know from you experienced dudes if replacing

the hardware components would solve this problem.

thanks again, I appreciate the help!

Open it up and look inside see if there is capacitors leaking or something. You can check all the knobs with multimeter and see what9;s the issue.

Hi- I have opened up the unit- could anyone tell me how to test the 4 terminal pots?

with light and magnification I see no evidence of leaky capacitors or anything else awry.

Thanks in advance for any help!
