is it possible to send program/preset changes with the XX-7? if so, could someone explain me how to?

Check pages 116-117 of the XL7 manual. Also, when you press the audition key, look at the screen and you will notice LCB and MSB. The XL-7 has a ROM ID of 14. Just enter the Rom ID number, the bank number and preset number . Hope all this helps. Alex --------------- coscon23 wrote:

You wan't to send program changes to external gear i take it? Well if that is so than this is how you do it. Go into the pattern edit menue and make your first stop at the channel assigh menue. Select the track you want to select to control external gear and set it to ext. Then scroll over to the event list and select the same track and chanel and enter a program change. hope that gets you enuf info Mike --- In xl7@y..., "coscon23" <coscon@i...> wrote: > is it possible to send program/preset changes with the XX-7? if so, > could someone explain me how to?

thanx, but how do you enter a program change?... i'm only used to cubase and there you've got a box labelled "prg" in the trackedit which you just have to enter a number in.... i understand i should be doing something in event-edit on the xx7, but what exactly? btw... i'm trying to send prg changes to a2k, mu100 and a3000... --- In xl7@y..., "mikexl7" <mikexl7@y...> wrote:

It is all in the pattern edit menue. Go to channel asign set the track you are using for your external gear and set it to external. then just go into the event editer and select the track and channel that you are using and scroll to the first event. Then hit the repeat button to create a new event. Then select the event and scroll wile the curser is under it untill it says prog: then select the number of the program that you want and there ya go. I am pretty shur that there is more info in the old addendum about this so see if you can find it. hope that is enuf for you to figure it out. thanx a lot... i'm gonna try it immediately... i had looked into the manual to find it but hadn't tried every addendum... it would be much easier to have all info in one piece surely... anyway, this group is a major help! peter. --- In xl7@y..., "mikexl7" <mikexl7@y...> wrote: > It is all in the pattern edit menue. > > Go to channel asign set the track you are using for your external > gear and set it to external. > > then just go into the event editer and select the track and channel > that you are using and scroll to the first event.
