Sysex questions

A couple of quick sysex questions (aimed mainly at the E-mu folx, I guess...): - What's the ROM ID in the Preset Dump Request and the Preset Dump Header? I can request and/or reload any of the user presets (0..127 in banks 0..3) using a coded preset number between 0 and 511, but the ROM ID seems to be ignored. Ditto when requesting preset names. (I'm asking mainly for curiosity, since I only want to backup, organise and restore user presets, and that seems to work fine already.) - How can I request, move and restore patterns? Given that I've got the code for transferring presets, I'd quite like to use the same for the patterns, keeping the information in one place, rather than use the rather cumbersome Java app. The Java app. can clearly do this stuff over MIDI, so I guess I could just try and reverse-engineer that, but it would be healthier not to have to.
