You need to have the midi port set up on your computer. On my computer I have to set this up through BIOS. Sometimes this is a bit of a difficult task. Look for a section that says MPU401 in your computers start up configuration and enable it. If you have a joystick port, it should work... What should be there for input is actually somthing like "MPU 401 midi port" or "VIA Midi port" ...
play around with your settings, it could be anything... if all else fails get one of those USB midi devices...

Thanks for the reply. See the only thing that bugs me about this is
that i am using a usb midi device. So i kinda think that it could be
a problem on the e-loader end.

I use a Midisport 2x2 (USB) and it works fine. Maybe try uninstalling and
reinstalling E-Loader?

E-Loader works fine with USB MIDI interfaces. If MIDI works with any
other software on your PC, it should work fine with E-Loader. The
default before you set anything will 'None', but when clicking on the
popup menus in the MIDI Setup window you should see your other choices.
The MP-7 won't show up as such, you will probably see something like
'SBLive MIDI Input' and SBLive MIDI Output'. Whatever names your MIDI
card exports to the Windows MIDI system will show up in those lists.

Note none of this should have anything to do with any BIOS settings.
Assuming your MIDI interface is installed correctly (sound card or
whatever) and is working with other applications, it should show up in
the Input/Output lists in E-Loader without having to muck with any BIOS
stuff. There are no special requirements for E-Loader to access MIDI
other than the standard MIDI services your OS supplies to all
applications.

I could be worng, I seriously doubt it. Make sure that your Midisport is installed correctly, by going into your system and device manager and make sure there isn't a warning. Do you have problems sending/recieving from other devices in other programs?
Hope this helps
