Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hi 
   I was looking at the XL-7 manual explaining grid recording and all 
the information (different fields) provided on the XL-7's LCD. There 
is one field called the "Current Grid Position" shown between the 
Bar:beat and the Note velocity. When I try this on my unit I dont see 
anything where the current Grid position needs to be displayed, its 
almost like that field doesnt exist for this unit. Does anyone have 
the same problem? I am running V 1.31

Wow, never noticed that in the manual.  That field was in there in 
prerelease software, but it didn't really fit on the screen and was 
replaced by the cursor automatically jumping to the last pressed trigger 
button.  If you're really interested, it was simply a number from 1 to 
16 to tell you which of the 16 bars was underlined.  Not terribly useful...

The manual must not have gotten that change.  Actually, even the rev D 
manual has a few vestigial grid position fields, though there's no 
mention of it anymore, just the occasional 03 or something...
