Ok, I really think it would help a lot if we could keep the current
mute switches on while switching patterns. The whole idea of preset
mutes behooves me ...

EMU CAN YOU HEAR ME???

I can't say that the idea of preset mute settings is un-understandable. Though to that same end, I also can see the desire for having the same mute switches kept active and inactive while switching patterns. I could go on with a list of probably endless reasons as to why both systems are good and desirable. Really, I think that the most desirable situation is one that takes both ideas into consideration.

But I do believe I recall someone that spoke of emailing the EMU tech guys with "wishlist" ideas, so uhhhh, why not head yourself on over to the EMU page and let em know your thoughts =).

Respect,

And??? :)

Are you guys working on any new OS things that MIGHT take some of these
ideas into account? With the really low prices that the whole Emu line is
going for these last few weeks, am I the only one wondering:

1. Emu is having financial troubles, just trying to clear the shelves
asap?
2. There's something new on the way that might supercede our beloved
XX-7's?
3. There's lot's of changes coming about with the E5 release and it's
product integration, and Emu wants to get a good user base of their
hardware products first?

--------> so I have to save the first pattern to user pattern 000.0, right..?

>>> Yep! <<<

-------> I save the presets to the patterns.... and when I switch to the next pattern sometimes the presets aren´t the ones II saved.... when I revert the pattern or load it new it is all correct... but this suckz in a live situation....

>> As mentioned before, after you change any Presets in a Pattern (or save a new Preset), you need to resave the Pattern again so that the new Presets are remembered when the pattern is recalled. <<<

I?ve heard the same thing in germany.
someone on the german keyboards forum said, that emu fired a lot of its
employes and is now completly managed by creative labs.
he also said that there are financial difficulties and that emu will sell
the emulator soft sampler with some kind of new aps soundcard only.

i hope this isn?t true.

I would be glad if someone from emu clears this up. the feeling that
creative labs is taking controll over our beloved xl7 makes me afraid.

btw, some hints about what will be in the next os would be very cool
