Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi, just got pure phatt shit rom and I can't uploaded patterns its 
saying .. (not installed) ???? what should I do ?

Make sure that you have the ROM oriented correctly in the unit.  I 
posted in the files section a ROM installation document that was made 
available by E-MU.  There is a notch on one side of the ROM, make 
sure that it is in the same way that the factory ROM is.

Real easy
 All you have to do is load  midifile patterns into software 
sequencer then look up on yours MP7 to find out what bank# does pure 
fart locate (press audition button).Now edit yours software to the 
same bank# you see then save these pattern ass a midifile format 
1 .finally use yours eloader do dump it to MP7 as usual.

Well, he wasn't clear as to if it was the "user not installed???" or 
if it was not recognizing the ROM itself.  If he doesn't have a 
software sequencer, he can go to www.midiox.com to get a freeware 
version just for pattern downloads.  There is a playback only utility 
in it that I use.

Alternatively, attempts to bank-select to bank numbers not
corresponding to the currently installed ROM's will also generate a
"not installed" message.

Correct also, I was just just having him check the hardware portion 
since most of the problems are not always software related.

I can play presets means rom is installed corectlly
PROBLEMS is with PATTERNS form MP7 when I loaded using either
cubase or emu loader pattern and play and preset keep saying NOT 
INSTALLED HEEEEEEEELP before I smashed this BABY :) PEACE ALL

The Pure Phatt ROM has a different ID number and different preset
locations that the MP-7 ROM. MP-7 patterns will not play using the Pure
Phatt ROM. Contact E-MU service, they may be able to provide some type
of solution.
