Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi,
Not sure if I understand the Fx sends feature correctly.  My goal is 
to use an outboard effects processor to enhance a particular voice 
on a track.

1. I have a POD Pro Guitar effects process with send and return 
feature.
2. On the XL7 I connected 2 1/4" from Sub 1 outs to the send/return 
on the Guitar FX processor.
3. I Channel assigned track 2 to Channel 2B.
4. In the Global Mode, I assigned Channel 2B to : Send2->sub1
5. During playback, I didn't noticed any change.  

Am I routing this correcty?

If anyone is using an outboard fx processor I would really 
appreciate some advice.
