Thanx, I spend a lot of time trying to get it as pleasing to the eye as it
is to the ear, and all for cheap! The light in the corner is a tallish
pyramid shaped oil lamp, with red oil in it. It's basically a glorified
candle :) It's so easy to set up a nice looking studio for practically no
money, or should I say make a studio look nice for practically no money
(there is that gear to purchase...). Here's some of the things I used:

1. DJ table - two sheets of 3/4" mdf (20" by 54", cut at Home Depot for
free) stacked on top of an old dresser, then covered with black fabric
from Walmart. Total cost - $17.00.
2. Monitor stands - milk crates covered in the same material as the Dj
table, help together with hot glue. Total cost - $3.50 (yeah the crates
were nicked).
3. 2" Pseudo Acoustic foam (works well I might add)- Almost the same stuff
you get from Auralex et al, free from local carpet store then spray
painted to match. Total cost $4.00.
4. Equipment table - A heavy-duty folding table spray painted black with
some random artsy drawings on it in blue, then clear coated. Make a
simple skirt to hide all the cable drapped behind it for the same fabirc
as above. Total cost $70.00, though this is largely due to the cost of
the table.
5. Trying to get the girlfriend to stop leavign crap in the studio (her
half of it at least, that's her K2600XS) when you're not looking....
priceless.

Easy stuff to do, and it makes you feel more relaxed and artistic when
you're working. At least it does for me.

Yes, annoying isn't it? Sorry about that, had I known i was going to be
posting it to different mailing lists, I would have made the images
smaller.
