Another Question!

Another Question!

2003-03-08 by g2legacy

I wanted to know how to upgrade the OS on my MP-7. And why do I need
to upgrade my MP-7 any way? Does upgrading it make the MP-7 function
better or something?

the new OS's are more stable and offer some new features, and there
free so why not improve your XL.

You load it into the XL with the eloader aplication that came with
your xl. Just downlad the newest OS from the emu site. Then conect
the midi in and out to your computer (assuming that you have one).
The rest of the information you will need can be found in the read
me file that comes with the new OS.

It is pretty easy to do.

I recomend that you back up your patterns before you upgrade just in
case some thing weird happens.

Take it easy

Yes, upgrading makes your MP7 work MUCH better, since many of the original
resellers (Guitar Center, etc.) bought a large number of them and still have
older inventory. So when you get your device it may not be that "new". To
upgrade you will have to go to the EMU site and download eLoader, install tht
then follow the instructions on that page for updating your OS. You will need a
midi interface with free in/out and you will probaly want to turn off all the
other synths on the chain.

Hope this helps,
Andre
