It seems E-MU poeple are focusing on a new soundcard:

Maybe an offspring of the E-MU Five?

4: A graphic EQ I think should complete my list. Either something that
would let you cut frequencies out per preset, or just a nice passive EQ
display to mix stuff better would be great.

  >>>Amen to that! Even just a simple hi-pass or low pass 2 pole filter in
each Preset would make me so happy. No more subby pad sounds :) <<<

true that this would be great : i mean for most of my presets i use one common filter (on La), and i would love to see a way to add a serial simple hi-pass filter in each preset...no more sub on each sound.

More likely it will probably be bundled with the card. Interesting....

Dont know if i am just post happy but it would be really cool to have
a solo ( mute all but) function. I know that the buttons are designed
to mute and unmute by just rolling you fingers over it but i must say
that i am surprised that there is no real solo or mute all function.

Mute groups would be good too. The 505 let you mute the drums as a
whole or individually, the Rm1x can mute 1-8 and 9-16 separately.
It's handy for being able to drop out all the drums, or just
individual tracks.

I'd really like to see MIDI commands (short sysex is fine) to queue
patterns, change mutes, do direct pattern access, maybe even XMIX.
The sysex spec I've seen doesn't allow for much sequencer control.

That said, I may be calling Musician's Fiend later today...

so far i have better deals at guitar center ..no matter what. I think
they are the same company. The strange this is that they battle for
prices. I let one know that i taked to the other and bingo a much
better price.

I agree, a solo feature would be cool. The roll your finger technique
isn't a really substitute IMO.

And assignable to values on the knobs...so as you turn a knob new
groups are un-muted. That would be extreme POWER!
