I've heard them breifly, but long enough to know that I wasn't happy with them.

i owned the emu Virtuoso 2000 for a while, which has the two
orchestra cards installed. i bought it specifically for film work,
and liked it a lot. for the money, you get a well-arranged, pretty
good sounding set of orchestra sounds. they're not the best, but
the combination of decent quality, ease of use, and price is
strong.

if you want very realistic sounds, then you have to go with a
sampler and nice sound library (very expensive.) this is what i
eventually had to do. another option is the roland xv-series of
synths. their new srv-strings expansion card is absolutely the
best sounding orchestra ROM card out there. for instruments
besides strings, you'd have to go with roland's older jv-series
libraries, which i think are equal with the emu orchestra cards.

hope that's helpful!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
