Talking about OS upgrades....

Talking about OS upgrades....

2003-06-26 by sincultura13

A things that I think that would be cool as hell (even if probably
not at all possible) and would make the command station the best
thing ever... is a USb Smartmedia reader that'd allow you to save
midi files (or atleast load)so you don't have to drag around a laptop
to shows for back up. And, even better that could allow you to load
wave files to a flash rom card! Maybe this is Emus next proyect, the
Sp1600?

Btw, I have a question... The command stations has an effect return
feature, right? So I could route and external signal from, say, a
Keyboard? I'm going to be without my mixer for about a week and if
this is not possible I'm going to have to get cheap mixer in the mean
time...

thanks...

As long as we're fanataszing about a new OS, here's one feature I'd
like to see:

A section of memory devoted to uploadable/downloadable/program
changeable/user definable plug-ins.

Any user would be able to write 'code' to add functionality, users
could swap plug-ins, etc.

With such an architecture, users could design and implement their own
functionality.

Just a thought.

Flash simms?

2003-06-27 by Mark Kunoff - Bluemarble

If I wanted to get an EOS Ultra sampler so I could make my own sounds for
the XL7, how much do the Flash simms cost?

Has anyone had any experience doing this?

This is a great idea !!! I don't know if it's possible but it would
be awesome to have this feature on XX7 !! Welcome to the 'new O.S
Group' Steve !
P.S : I realized that neither Aaron nor any other EMU folks has told
us that 2.0 would be the last O.S !!? They did not even confirmed
this rumour that was just spread among XX7 user's group in fact !!!

Thanks for the comment. If it happens, I'd be willing to write code
so that the big data knob can be used to send bank/program changes to
external midi gear via in a special set-up utlity plug-in.
