DOES ANYONE HAVE A E4 ULTRA LINE OF SAMPLER AND USE IT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MP-7. I'M CONSIDERING GETTING ONE, BUT I NEED TO KNOW A LIL BIT MORE BOUT BURNING SAMPLES TO ROMS, AND OF YOU CAN BURN PRESETS ONTO EM. THANKS FOR ANY RESPONSE. PEACE!!!

I find the combo pretty sweet. You need a flash simm to burn presets. For example your E6400 ultra would burn the presets you wanted to the flash simm you would then power down the sampler open it up remove the simm open up your MP7 load the simm power up and bada bing bada boom you have your own custom presets in the MP7. As a matter of fact, the sampler only "burn" the samples (and it's own EOS format presets). The presets for the Proteus engine have to be programmed and stored on the flash from the Command Station itself. Hmm I am not sure I understand your post. Page 4 of sound authoring guide states In creating Proteus Instruments, only the following EOS preset parameters are used. All other EOS preset parameters are ignored. . Preset Name (becomes the Instrument name in Proteus) . Voice/sample key and velocity windows . Voice/sample fine tuning, volume and pan . Voice amplifier envelope settings . Sample original key If your saying that the programming of the preset is lost you are probably correct.

Yes, since presets are not fully compatible between the EOS and the Proteus. Once you have the basic working "instruments" generated by the sampler, it seems you still have to re-program the patches on the Proteus to make proper use of the filters, modulations and so on... If you're after complex sounds that is. :) EOS generated Proteus instruments would be okay for custom drumkits I suppose. Sorry about the lousy english. some one tell me how to down load the new verson 2.0 to xl7
how to down loads sounds and pattern,thank you very

Andy, There should have been a CD that came with your XL. On it you will find a program called E-loader. Install that program on your computer and make sure that you have a midi interface that will connect to the XL. Read the E-loader quick start manual to get you going quickly. i try to downloads p2500.zip to my xl7 but when i play it back it
dont have no sounds i dont know what happen? please let me know..

Andy, No problem, I'm glad it worked out for you. The reason you have no sounds for the 2500 zip is that you do not have the "POP" ROM that the presets, patterns and songs look for. The same goes for the MP-7 information as well, you have to have the ROM to make the sounds play.
