upgrading XL7 to OS2.0

upgrading XL7 to OS2.0

2003-07-18 by Reverend Douglas Lee

Hi All:

My sister just purchased a XL-7 and it came with OS version 1.0. I am
trying to upgrade to OS 2.0 and I can't get the midiman 2x2 to see the
XL-7. Can someone give us any tips on what to do. I've read the help
section for the midi-man and the E-loader and everything appears to in
synch but it will not see the XL-7 to allow the upgrade.

Reverend Douglas Lee

passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Did you hold down both cursor buttons on the XL-7 while powering up?

Mr. Lee,

You hold down the home/enter button to put it in OS receiving mode,
the cursor buttons will put you into a diagnostics mode.

Yeah Dave, I went back and read your threads and was able to solve it. I
had two issues, one was the midiman 2x 2 was not installed correctly and
I was not using the prep dll. Thanks to your hard work I was able to
upgrade in less time:-0).
