Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Im trying to figure out how to do this effect that sounds like...Neo 
when he is transfered to the real world through the phone in the 
matrix, or similar, BT's signature "machine gun" roll beat.
If any one knows what Im talking about, Thanks!

I can get that exact effect using a KAOSS pad.  I'm not sure which patch, but one of 
the delays does it.  Basically it samples makes a loop and then shortens the loop to 
the point where it's so short it's starting to get it's own tonality.

I've also seen demos of some of the Korg ETribe units that do a similar thing... I'm not 
sure which one does it but it was easy to find on Korg's website under etribe stuff.

BTW, the KAOSS pad II rocks IMO.  I've got one in the effects loop of the XL-7 at all 
times.

Oh, BTW.  The Protozoa ROM has a great Waterphone sample that will also get you 
the "I'm touching the mirror and it's melting into me." sound
