Hey, I gotta be more specific. The Matrix 12 and Expanders are the only synths I have seen that have all of the integrated circuits in sockets. This allows easy repairs as well as some customizing. I have read were some guys replaced the generic op-amps with low noise high performance types. I have never done this, but one of these days l would like to try it.
