Wow,- interesting. Simplest fix on earth,- I´m curious about the long-life cycle of such a solution.
I remember a service tech opened the rotarys and used compressed air and spray (don´t no which !) for cleanig and that didn´t help. So, it eventually depends on the cleaner.
Is it Servisol Super 10 Switch Cleaner, Super 40 lubricant or which ?

Hi, I just fixed all the rotary encoders on my Xpander in about 1
minute. The symptoms were that the values were jumping around,
wouldn't go up unless you went slow, if you went too fast they did
nothing or went backwards!

I simply sprayed a touch of Servisol Switch Cleaning Lubricant in the
round hole on the side of each encoder(you have to remove the plastic
covers). It worked immeadiately and now they are all working
perfectly, good as new. Sweet!

Phil.
