Hi Tony, On of my favorite things to do: midi up my emu XL7 drum machine to my M12 and replace each drum with a patch I write from scratch. It seems I have to tweak the drums to get them to sound good together. Try using the ramps ( set to Zero ) instead of envelopes, the attack sounds faster to me. Use an envelope for the decay or put the ramp through a tracking generator. Also, use a resonated (res set to max) 4PL filter for the bass drum, and I promise you the earth will shake. On bass and toms, use a ramp or envelope to sweep the frequency slightly. This gives the bending drum-head sound. I still do not have midiOX running on my studio computer (no time) so I don't have a way to move ptches yet. BTW what ever happened to XevenT? I really liked the concept there.
