easiest way,- own 2 or 3 Xpanders and a Oberheim XK ...

But you can do that over midi w/ every MIDI controller transmitting MIDI via 3 zones on 3 MIDI channels (or more) simultaneously, depending on how many Xpanders you want to link.
"MIDI Echo" bypasses MIDI info from MIDI In to MIDI Out,- like MIDI Thru, but adds all parameter changes you perform on the 1st ( master) Xpander to the "slave" Xpanders via MIDI Sysex,- MIDI Merge.

Oberheim XK offers arpeggiator (w/ analog clock sync) and original levers,- something you don´t find in modern controllers.
Preset memory system fits Xpander / Matrix-1000 perfectly.
I have a somewhat cusomized XK,- but I´m fine w/ a Kurz PC361 too.
It´s a most excellent controller.
