Upgrading from 1.0 eproms make strange sounds when tuning the VCF's

Hi all Oberheim Xpander users !I bought my Xpander (US Made) in 1989 and been using it with Voice and Software versions 1.0 without any problems ever since.I read somewhere that it was advisable to upgrade to the latest version so I did.I replaced the 6 eproms and powered up and everything seemed OK.After about an half hour I tuned all the 5 options that are available, still no problem and everything passed. After a couple of hours I went back and tried to tune it again just to see if everything was still OK.Everything passed BUT when it came to tune the VCF's it made some strange sounds and after that I could hear notes was hanging.I checked that all the eproms were correctly seated in their sockets and everything looked OK.I remember when I first powered it up after upgrading that a brief message saying VOICE PROCESSOR MALFUNCTION was showed in the display.I tried to put the version 1.0 Voice eproms back and the problems disappeared !I managed to get two more of the Voice eproms and put them in and everything seemed rock stable without any noise when tuning the VCF's BUT after a couple of hours I tried tuning again and the same noise kept coming but I couldn't hear any notes hanging anymore.Someone I talked to said that he heard that after Voice version 1.2 was introduced a hardware change was required.I haven't been able to get any info about this anywhere.
My voice board is revision A and my filters are revision AHere's a vid of me tuning the VCF's http://youtu.be/Q1U4FTyNTlINote how fast it shows PASS but the noise keep going for a while after that. And I forgot to turn my effects off ( If someone wonders )From some info I found about the Xpander OS revision:
NOTE: Voice board revisions D and up Must use revision 1.4 voice software, and voice boards using
Curtis rev. C filters must use revision 1.4 voice software and 1.1 main processor software.
My Xpander uses Voice board revision A (1810 A) and Curtis rev A (3160A -01) so it does not qualify for the info I found on the web
Any help will be greatly appreciated
