Think about this for a moment. Based on annual wages and standard of living, car prices, house prices, food, fuel, ect in 1976. A CS80 in the UK cost £5,999 / $11,000 By today's new figures 2008 that means a CS80 would cost roughly £270,000. that's half a million dollars people. Only the rich and famous could afford them then. And now? Well, now it is about removing the word vintage and putting the word antique in it's place. Vintage Analogue is a 90's buzz word and now only really describes plug-in's. Today this gear is Antique and now has all the trappings of items that fall into that category. Add the fact that more people want to own one than there are CS80's to go around, thus making them rare. And it would take a lot of money to get someone to part with theirs in the first place. How much would you sell yours for eh! Well only a few weeks ago I was emailed by a guy in the US who offered me $24,000 for my CS80 and guess what I said no
