Is it better to leave CS50,60,80 powered on most of day

Hi
Is it better to leave CS50,60,80 powered on most of day (say in 8 hour  
blocks) to avoid unnecessary stress on when switching on and off
Also how often should the power supply caps be changed----eg every 10  
years
