I own a CSY-2 that i calibrated yesterday. There is a poti on one board where you can move the center cutoff frequency. It could be in your case that your cutoff is too high so that you don't reach deep enough frequencies and the resonance has nothing to resonate :-) Christof ----- Original Message ----- From: Quazimodo To: yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 2:28 AM Subject: [yamahacs80] SY-1 ... Happy New Year...! Happy New Year Guys...! I have an SY-1 question... for any of you that have access to one. I've noticed that on my SY the "Resonance" control doesn't really seem to do much. The "Cut Off Frequency" control makes a difference, but the "Resonance" control just seems to make the sound quieter at one end..! I find that the Attack Bend - TONE switch makes more of an apparent "Resonance" difference than the actual "Resonance" control. I am aware that Resonance might only be effective on certain presets, probably not meant to affect all patches, but this symptom runs throughout all the patches on mine. Can anyone please confirm for me that this is *normal* for the SY-1..? Many thanks, TOM [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
