Yamaha CS80

Ehm,  I feel partially responsible about it because I redesigned the panel
presets for the version 1.5 of the synth: on the original Vangelis uses
almost only the panel presets. I admit I made a mistake while designing the
BRASS1 preset because I didn't set the parameters well, the original preset
has a very soft filter sweep at low velocity and I made it too heavy, sorry
for that.
Some presets, especially those referring to plucked strings instruments have
a different type of velocity response, I'm still convinced of it until
anyone will refute my thesis, but I couldn't set those parameters well
because the V in single mode has plain cutoff responses, therefore some
preset suffer from this.
Apart from that the only advice I can give you is to carefully pay attention
to what you hear on the Vangelis music featuring CS80 and try to replicate
the sounds on the CS80V....anyway I for first can tell you there is still
nothing that can replace a CS80 at full.
About the reverbs you can find many of them with different quality, you must
basically try and test what you like, and maybe EQ the output of the reverb.
