Yamaha CS80

I agree, a great effects unit is a passport that allows the instrument to transcend its sonic borders.
  I've run the CS-80 through a digital delay chained to an Alesis Microverb. The result was 'transcendant'. It really accentuated the multi-timbral quality, what with Mix I and Mix II  being set on different type sounds. 
   
  I have a Lexicon mpx500 but haven't used it yet with the CS. Other instruments' sounds when taken through the Lex have gone through a resurrection. Can't wait to try it.
