Ribbon Controller

Ribbon Controller

2007-11-19 by billwolfer

Has anyone here tried to rebuild/repair a ribbon controller? Mine has
some issues on the lower left hand side. Fixable, or is the only
solution to rob one from a dead CS60/80?

Bill, I think that inside the 'ribbon' is a custom made, long 'spring'.
If so, then I think it would be impossible to repair.

This is just what I have heard - so well it may be wrong...!

Cheers,
TOM

You might as well gut an old YC-45D organ as it has the same type of ribbon. Easier to come by than a CS60... quite as sacriligeous to rip one of these apart, though.
