Yamaha CS80

would someone with the original leg hardware mind pulling one of the
handscrews out and posting info about shaft length and thread size to
the group.. if I can get this info I will hunt down a sub and post a
link as well.  I'd like to get some handscrews to keep my synth together

there should be 4 of these to attach the stand.. and one to keep the
stand together in the middle.

rick, i can pull one out, but i dont know how i would accurately describe the thread size. its definitely not "machine screw thread" type, and i remember the shaft to be around 2" long. tell me know i can accurately measure it and i can help you out....

hm..some people are really good at telling threads by looking at
them.. My friend Richard is great with that sort of thing.. me.. not
so much.. i think japan is on the metric system

I also bought matching wingnuts and screwed and epoxied them onto the 
bolts to give them a handle that can be screwed in by hand.

while finally getting  a chance to work on some voice card issues today, i made a very exciting discovery. i traced voltages on an IG00153 chip i was about to replace, and discovered that it was not being fed all the proper voltages, and traced the problem to i believe a bridge rectifier or transistor! i think this now means i have a failed $.30 part, not a failed $50+ part! i am quickly approaching a 100% CS-80! 2 voice cards left to go......

and on the subject of chips, if anyone needs an IG00157 chip, i can direct them to where one is available. drop me a line if you need one.
