End of year poll! Best and worst CS80 songs of all time!!

End of year poll! Best and worst CS80 songs of all time!!

2008-12-31 by David Rogoff

Ok, I've been reading enough end-of-year lists, so it's our turn.
Please list your favorite and least favorite track that feature the CS80.

I'll start.
Favorite - Eddie Jobson - Zinc/The Green Album. Pretty much the whole
album, but for one track Resident (mp3 in Files section of our group).
Runner up - Eddie Jobson - UK / UK. Also pretty much whole album.
Standouts include Alaska, Presto Vivace/Reprise, and Nevermore

Worst - I was going to say - Paul McCartney - A Wonderful Christmas
Time, but I just read that's it's probably a Prophet 5. I thought
Linda "Played" a CS80 around that time. I guess there are no bad CS80
tunes.

McCartney was playing a CS-80 in the film clip for "Coming Up", and it wasn't the greatest
CS-80 solo I have ever heard....

Thanks for the pointer. Take a look here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO6w9T1YzgE. What happened to Sir Paul's
brain after the Beatles split? Linda must have put something in his corn
flakes :^)

Another list idea - youtube (and other similar) video links that feature
CS80! Best if it's a CS80 being played in the video and you're actually
hearing a CS80.

Here's a few:
J Geils Band "Love Stinks" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GluCM_ggMvw
(even uses aftertouch and ribbon!)
Toto "Rosanna" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq4ychrRkQA
Toto "Africa" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPT_3PEjnsE (Well, you
hear the CS80, but see and hear GS1)
Jethro Tull "Black Sunday" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MfT2hUISSQ
& http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lR8mJlcZKAg - Eddie Jobson
BBC - "Doctor Who Theme" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRYQEmwPJjQ -
CS80 & Arp Odyssey

ELP "Fanfare for the Common Man" -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OLWgrr671g - GX-1 (and lonely Moog
modular) lip-synced, but every note correct
ELP "Pirates" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJlpOQf4rYA - also GX-1,
but missing intro
