Greetings All, Problem # 1 My CS80 double triggers notes and when played softly. Doesn't seem to happen when played with strong velocity. Problem #2 Some of these retriggers go wildly out of tune Can anyone lead me in the right direction. Unit was just moved too. IS possible a circuit board has come unseated? Thanks, Jerry

This is a key contact issue. You must realign the contacts again. This occures when the note on contact does not quite reach the top contact correctly. pushing down the top rigth contact will allow a good connection when you play the key in question. Hope this helps Kent KSR > To: yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com > From: jerry_omalley@... > Date: Mon, 27 Jul 2009 15:26:31 +0000 > Subject: [yamahacs80] Have a CS80 problem that needs fixin' - Hope ya'll can help > > Greetings All, > Problem # 1 > My CS80 double triggers notes and when played softly. Thanks for the quick reply Kent, Are the key contacts easy to get to? Can I get at them with just the top opened or do I need to do more? It doesn't sound like they need to be glued or anything just realligned by hand? Thanks, Jerry --- In yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com, kent spong <kent_spong@...> wrote:

Hi Jerry, Yeah that's right, Just lift the lid and pull the white plastic covers off to expose the key contacts. Use the guitar 1 and 2 preset to do this as it shows double triggering up more than any other sound. Best regards Kent KSR _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Messenger: Celebrate 10 amazing years with free winks and emoticons. http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/157562755/direct/01/ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

One is used for the key scanning chip and the other is used for the velocity sensing. Kent, do you remember which side is which? David

Hi David, Yeah, The left side ones are velosity and the right are key contacts. > To: yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com > From: david@... > Date: Mon, 27 Jul 2009 11:05:14 -0700 > Subject: Re: [yamahacs80] Re: Have a CS80 problem that needs fixin' - Hope ya'll can help > > kent spong wrote: > > Hi Jerry, > > > > Yeah that's right, > > > > Just lift the lid and pull the white plastic covers off to expose the key contacts.
