Keyboard Translation board for CS-60

Keyboard Translation board for CS-60

2005-09-09 by dave cooley

Does anybody have a keyboard translation board (found under the
keyboard) for a CS-60 (preferrably) or a CS-80? Or does someone know
if the 40 series chips are still made? Thanks....

Hi Dave!

Welcome to the group. I'm assuming you're talking about the KAS board.
I don't know about a whole, spare board, but the 40xx CMOS parts are
easy and cheap to get. I (and several others) have replaced all of them
in our CS80s. I got most of mine from Digikey (www.digikey.com), but I
even picked up a bunch just from a local electronic supply place. If
you order some, make sure you get the DIP package since they're also
available in surface-mount packages.

So, what's wrong with your CS60?

 David
