I just finally reorganized my small but comfortable home studio space here last month, which finally (after living in this place eight years) also allowed me to haul the CS-80 upstairs and set it up again. I was understandably just a little nervous plugging it in the first time, plugged into a filtered regulated power outlet which is itself plugged into a Furman rack mount power conditioner strip. First throw of the switch… no problems… no funny smells… seemed normal. It took a long time to warm up and settle in but I'm happy to report that all is still well.

I had it professionally serviced about ten years ago, voices tuned and many of the caps replaced at the time. Cost me $800 but I felt was well worth it. I wanted to use it on my entry for the Trans-Siberian Orch video play along contest they're running right now. The tuning isn't perfect, but after a few hours warming up it was quite good enough for me to use. It's nice having it back on it's legs again and up and running!

Sigh of relief.
