GX 1

The home organ version of the GX-1 they´re talking about could be the GX-707. I remember vaguely that I once saw a GX-1 pictured in German "Das Musikinstrument" publication, and they referred to it as the GX-707 which looked like a dead ringer for the GX-1, with its three fridge-sized speaker cabinets. I´ve seen two different versions of it, one with square preset selector buttons, the other with round buttons. Gordon Reid also refers to various different incarnations. Anyhow, what I´ve heard come out of a GX-1 (ABBA´s "The way old friends do" is a prime example) really makes it desireable. Although a CS80 in full flight with some proper tweaking can sound quite as nice...

The only other visual dead ringer for the GX-1 could be the EX-42 organ which uses the same housing but a different technology. It´s also aimed at a different sort of clients, really.
