Perhaps, it would be an idea to measure the variance (i.e. distribution) of
100 resistors with 1% tolerance and then to try out ALL (ALL!!!)
combinations of 2 of these resistors to get the variance of the serial
resistance.....
I am sure, that tolerance (of course the MEAN tolerance of all these
combinations) would exceed 1%. This is a statistical law.
But I may be wrong, someone here, who can prove this ?
