Thats correct. However I've personally gotten hooked on RA Penfolds method
of using a 2mhz xtal and dividing it down ( he usually uses a 4024 in his
example circuits ). 2mhz xtals tend to be dirt cheap and easily available.
The book Electronic Music and MIDI Projects has several 6402 based projects
in it however they are very basic so I'd only look at the book if you can
borrow it from a friend or library, otherwise you'll probably think you've
wasted money...
