I'm guessing that the module you unscrewed was at the right side of  
your case. Am I right?

Those wires are terminated in a plug, which plugs into a "buss board"  
on the back of the cabinet. The buss board doesn't quite run the whole  
width of the cabinet, so the plug may be plugged in under the module  
to the left of the one you removed.
