its a DC supply (+12volts) unplugging might be good but I seriously doubt the DC is gunan bite you.. figured that ground wire was kinda handy

Probably best to unplug the system. Even when the power is off, there is still juice flowing.. I
forget which rails are hot, but this is evident with the 222e as the ring charging lights are
active even when the power is off.
